Our Confession of Faith
We Believe and Proclaim
This we believe, this we proclaim, and this we faithfully teach, for the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom.
-
We believe and proclaim that there is one true God, Creator and Sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” (Deuteronomy 6:4)
-
We joyfully affirm that God created the universe by the power of His sovereign word and according to His perfect will, displaying His glory in all creation. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)
-
We recognize and believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. It is the only sufficient and authoritative rule for our faith and practice, revealing the character and will of God. “For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword.” (Hebrews 4:12)
-
We believe that God the Father, the first person of the Trinity, is the sovereign Creator and Ruler of the universe. In His grace and love He upholds all things according to His perfect purpose. "One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in all." (Ephesians 4:6)
-
We confess that our Lord Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, is God incarnate. He is fully God and fully man, and His sinless life, atoning death, and resurrection are the foundation of our redemption and reconciliation with God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5)
-
We proclaim that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, is coequal, consubstantial, and coeternal with the Father. Through Him all things were created and in Him all things consist. "For by Him all things were created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth...and by Him all things hold together." (Colossians 1:16-17)
-
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, who works in the regeneration, sanctification, and comfort of believers. He indwells us, guides us in truth, and equips us with spiritual gifts for the edification of the Church. "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you for ever." (John 14:16)
-
We proclaim that salvation is a sovereign act of God's grace, received solely through faith in Jesus Christ. The shed blood of Christ on the cross provides the only way to justification, forgiveness of sins, and adoption as children of God. "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2:8)
-
We affirm with hope the glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ, His ascension into heaven, and His personal and triumphant return. He will come to seek His Church and establish His eternal kingdom with justice and peace. "Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every man according to his work." (Revelation 22:12)
-
We proclaim that the kingdom of God is the fulfillment of His eternal promises. Christ will reign over His redeemed people, restoring all things according to His glorious purpose. "And the kingdom and dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High." (Daniel 7:27)
